Recharge your energy for academic progress

It is normal that students are experiencing stress and anxiety this time of the year. Finals week is getting closer and people are struggling to get everything done in time. Besides getting good grades many are expected to be able to work, exercise and also socialize with friends and family. Therefore, I have made a list of things we can do to make sure to get energy and be able to recharge for our academic progress.

First, sleep is a very important energy source that many people take for granted. Late nights in the library are often the reason why many students miss out hours of sleep that our brain needs to recharge. Since we all works differently, we need to find our own time when we can catch up with these hours. For example, a nap in the afternoon will help our brain to shut down and get new useful energy.

Second, take breaks. If you have been studying for hours it could be a good idea to go for a walk, eat a snack or just talk to a friend or family member for a few minutes. It is good for our brain to stop focus for a little while and think about something else. That will make us more relaxed and we get to recharge.

Third, be positive and think about your goals. Many students often think that it is hard to get motivated to do their homework or study for a big exam. What you can do in situations like this is to keep your energy up by having a positive attitude and try to think about the results you want. I believe that students will feel much more motivated if they know that their work will pay off in the end.

With that said, my three tips to you as a college student is to be aware of the importance of sleep, take breaks when needed and stay positive! It is only a few weeks left. 😄

  2. Hello Lisa, I really liked your post. I also found this helpful for everyone at this moment. Because of final exams and paper, many people start taking care more in their grades than in themselves. Easy tips like yours may help and remind them that not everything is study and that it is important to stay good and healthy. Good luck in finals!
